Today (2021-06-26) was the graduation of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Class of 2021.
The ceremony was at Dollard Field (football stadium), much like last year. What a difference a year makes. Then we were in the midst of mass panic, now we are (hopefully) past that insanity. Regardless, I thought it was a very nice event today. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-06-22) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Despite so many other places rolling back restrictions on attendance, BoE meetings are still invitation only. And despite the spirit (and letter) of the open meeting laws, the public is not invited. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-06-21) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
The area was without electricity for a few hours before the meeting (your mileage may have varied). To their credit, the group was prepared to do what they could without power. Thankfully power came back shortly before the meeting was scheduled to start, and thus it went along more or less as normal. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-06-14) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
Town property tax collection is done for the year. ~97% was collected. Now the County goes after those that didn’t pay (whatever that entails). Hopefully that doesn’t include you. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-06-08) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Once again, other obligations prevented me from attending the BoE meeting. I continue to be thankful there is a recording made, and that they take comments by email. While never as good as being there in person, it is much better then reading minutes. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-06-07) was a Mendon Public Library Board of Trustee meeting.
Despite it being the Library meeting, one of the first items discussed was the Town’s upcoming electronic recycling and paper shredding event. For those of you with appropriate items in need of disposal. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-05-25) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

Today (2021-05-18) there is an Election for the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District. District residents may vote at the Board of Education room 129. Different location then most years, due to the continuing panic. The Board of Education room can be found on the west side of the High School, nearest doors are off Church Street. Election time remains 6AM and 9PM. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-05-17) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
The big topics of the night were amending the fire arms code and the fire department building. But I’ll discuss the other items first, regardless of the actual order in the meeting. Continue reading
As with most years, this years school vote is in three parts. There will be a budget for next year, purchase of school buses, and three positions on the school board. The vote itself will be happening Tuesday May 18, 2021 in the Board of Education room (room 129), which is across the hall from the B-Gym. Nearest doors are off Church Street. Make note of the location. It’s not in the foyer as it traditionally has been.
