Unlike the last few meetings, this one was at the Ambulance Facility. Necessary as the Town Board was at the Community Center. I would have liked it if that group had met last week, despite it being Columbus Day, but such is life. Continue reading
Tonight (2020-10-13) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Another year, another School Board Recognition Week. It is nice to recognize the effort they take, as it is a rather thankless job. Someone (and often somemany) will be upset with whatever action they take. Yet action must be done (even if that action is ‘do nothing’).

Tonight (2020-10-05) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.
While this wasn’t quiet the shortest meeting I have attended, I think it was the simplest. The applicant didn’t show up, so the Board chatted for a bit before calling it a night. Continue reading
Tonight (2020-09-28) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
The meeting location was double booked, with the local Scouts holding an event of some sort inside. So the Town Board opted to meet in the pavilion out back. Worked well enough, although it was rather dark by the end. Continue reading

Back in the cafeteria, but in a different part of it. Last meeting was in the corner, this one was in the center. I liked the layout better, but the acoustics made it feel too quiet until the meeting got started. Continue reading

Tonight (2020-09-14) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
Budget season has rolled around again for this group. Accordingly, the Tentative Budget was discussed. Plan is to make it into a Preliminary Budget at the next meeting. Then hold the public hearing, and hopefully have an adopted budget towards the end of October. Continue reading
Tonight (2020-09-08) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
As hordes of kids returned to the school buildings today, it was fitting the BoE met in person as well. They were in the refurbished cafeteria, which looks to have turned out pretty well. I’m sure I’ll always like the older one better, if only for sentimental reasons. Continue reading
Tonight (2020-08-25) was (presumably) a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Despite the meetings scheduled start time of 7PM, it did not appear to have started by 8PM. I’m inclined to think there were technical difficulties. Either that or they forgot to stream it, as the Board was supposed to be meeting in person. Either way, I cannot offer observations on the meeting itself.
