The evening of 2026-08-17 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Multiple people said how well the Festival at the Falls had gone. And the fireworks the day before. Even as there were ideas for improving both for next year. Which is both good and to be expected, on all accounts.
There was a presentation by Cody from Reconnect Rochester on E-Bikes and similar. It felt like a ‘yes, but‘ scenario. Which is to say, yes, you can use an e-bike. But there are so many qualifiers, it’s difficult to do so legally.
Good Vibes Flowing Concerts are having their last event for the season tomorrow night. Well, maybe. Rick (Mayor) is looking into rescheduling some of the canceled shows. But besides that, another season wrapping up.
The ZBA meeting that was scheduled for 9/8 appears to have been rescheduled for 9/14. As usual, check with the Village for details as the date approaches. In case there are further changes.
The urgent care for 20 North Main was only mentioned in that progress is continuing, if slowly. I got the impression it’s into the legal i dotting and t crossing phase. But what do I know.
A $175k grant has been received for refurbishing/renovating the Scout House in Harry Allen Park. Sounds like they are still in the evaluating phase, to best plan how to spend that money.
The school’s Fall Weekend parade was approved for 10/3. No surprise there, but have a reminder to put it on your calendar.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the August 17, 2026 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
