The evening of 2026-08-25 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
It was a relatively short and straightforward meeting. Most interesting part might well have been the decorations and such left up from the new teacher intro that was earlier in the day.
During the Superintendent’s report we found out:
Tax bills are being printed. So should be mailed out soon.
Ready for opening, from a staffing standpoint. Although it sounds like some of the staff won’t be finishing the year here, so they are looking for more staff. If you are interested…
Will be opening on schedule, from a student standpoint. Even if not all the desired construction is done. There appear to be complications around materials and plumbers. Primarily with parking and bathrooms. As it looks like they had the wisdom of keeping some bathrooms open while working on others, not the end of the world. But it could be awkward, at least until the construction gets finished. We do like our indoor plumbing.
Besides that, as the year was ended and fund balance could be spent, paying for buses was approved. As usual, as expected. But noting as it was done without debt. Good to see that plan worked out.
