Tonight (2017-05-08) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
There were a surprising number of people present. Normally it’s the handful of regulars, and the occasional extra for a particular purpose. Not tonight. Tonight there were about a dozen people to speak on behalf of the ambulance service. Continue reading
As with most years, this years school vote is in three parts. There will be a budget for next year, purchase of school buses, and three positions on the school board. The vote itself will be happening Tuesday May 16th, 2017 in the High School Lobby.

Relatively straightforward meeting. Three applicants, three approvals, back home in under half an hour.

Tonight (2017-04-25) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
It was a workshop meeting, so the bulk of the time was spent in discussion around a topic. Although before that some normal agenda items needed to be gone over. Continue reading

Tonight (2017-04-17) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
I was warned up front it was going to be a long meeting, and it was (by village board standards). Those of us in the audience got out about 9:45PM. The trustees continued in executive session until around 10:15PM (exact time uncertain). Continue reading
Tonight (2017-04-11) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The big topic of the night was next years school budget, and the board approved a budget to send to the voters. The public hearing on the budget will be May 9th, at 7PM. Considering past years, most likely in the High School cafeteria. The budget vote will be on May 16th, at the High School Lobby (just outside the pool). Also that day is Cougar’s Creations, and they usually have a BBQ outside. Continue reading
Tonight (2017-04-10) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
Karla Boyce was back tonight. She was a Town board member in years past, but had moved on to other things. Tonight she was back to present an award to Ron Knight for his work with the new library. In particular, his dedication in gathering the money to pay for the project. Continue reading

Tonight (2017-04-03) was the Honeoye Falls Annual Meeting.
Before that was the public hearing for the 2017/2018 Village of Honeoye Falls Budget. The village approved the budget for their next fiscal year (which does not match the calendar year). Approximately 5% increase in the tax levy. I want to say 5.42%, but likely have that off a little. They rattled off a long string of digits there. No one in attendance spoke out against the budget, but there was discussion on a variety of topics while waiting for the allotted time to end. Continue reading
