Honeoye Falls Planning Board 2018-07-09

Tonight (2018-07-09) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Planning Board.

Despite it being the last item discussed, I’ll lead with it: Mary Szlosek will be leaving the Planning Board, as she is moving out of the Village. While I’m sure I could find some details to criticize, I feel she did a good job in her time as Chair. She will be missed. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education 2018-06-26

Tonight (2018-06-26) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

The meeting was on the longer side, to such an extent a comment was made that new board members can’t be told how long meetings will be. Gene (Superintendent) apologized for the delay, as the Board met in executive session before the public meeting. The topic? His annual evaluation. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Zoning Board 2018-06-25

Tonight (2018-06-25) should have been a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.

Despite there being an agenda, there did not seem to be a meeting. Met the minutes maker (secretary? clerk? whatever the title is) outside, but no one else was around. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Village Board 2018-06-18

Tonight (2018-06-18) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.

While there were a number of items on the agenda, and the meeting did take a fair amount of time, there wasn’t much of interest. Mostly formalities or potential future events. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education 2018-06-12

Tonight (2018-06-12) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

The most interesting part of the meeting wasn’t really part of the meeting. It was that only 5 of 9 board members were in attendance. Reasons for the others absence wasn’t noted, but it was expected. Amusing in that actions required all those in attendance to agree on them. Continue reading

Mendon Town Board 2018-06-11

Tonight (2018-06-11) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.

As one of my other hats is that of a Zoning Board member, three actions tonight were of particular interest. Two proposed code changes, which will be going to a public hearing (July 16th), and an additional requirement for being on the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Planning Board 2018-06-04

Tonight (2018-06-04) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Planning Board.

The only applicant was Miller Lanes, who were looking to add some outdoor seating for the restaurant side of the business. They mostly got approval in the end, but the discussion to get there was amusing at times. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Planning Board 2018-05-23

Tonight (2018-05-23) was a special meeting of the Honeoye Falls Planning Board.

The topic of the evening was Muffy’s subdivision on Rittenhouse/Peer. Or more particularly, the Board’s review of her response to the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education 2018-05-22

Tonight (2018-05-22) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

The most interesting topic of the night, was also the last. Which was a shame, as by that point the group clearly wanted to call it a night. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Village Board 2018-05-21

Tonight (2018-05-21) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.

This was the first Trustee meeting since Charlie (Code Enforcement Officer, among other titles) has left us. His absence was felt. While there is always a degree of uncertainty on this side of the veil, I hope he is in a better place now. Continue reading
