The big topic of the night was the public hearing on updating the zoning code. To skip to the end: no action tonight, probably action at the August meeting, after more discussion next month.

Tonight (2019-06-11) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The meeting was held in the High School Chorus room, which was unusual. Turns out the BoE room has been re-purposed as the High School and Counseling Office for the duration, as their old offices are scheduled for demolition. All part of the capitol project (progress pictures were shared later in the meeting). Continue reading

Tonight (2019-05-28) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The start of the meeting was delayed slightly, due to Gene (Superintendent). Apparently he was being evaluated by the BoE in executive session. From moods, I would guess the evaluation went well enough and we don’t need to look for a new superintendent quiet yet. Continue reading
Today (2019-05-21) there is an Election for the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District. District residents may vote at the Board of Education room 129. Different location then past years, due to construction. The Board of Education room can be found on the west side of the High School, nearest doors are off Church Street. Election time remains 6AM and 9PM. Continue reading
Tonight (2019-05-20) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Before the meeting started there was some chatting anticipating a short meeting. That might have been true, if there hadn’t been a tangent during the zoning discussion. But as the detour was taken, the meeting ended up being about average length. Continue reading
Tonight (2019-05-14) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

Tonight (2019-05-13) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
With one minor exception, this felt like a simple and straightforward meeting. Which I’ve noticed is how most of the Town meetings are. Which is fine: boring is good, exciting is dangerous. Continue reading
As with most years, this years school vote is in three parts. There will be a budget for next year, purchase of school buses, and three positions on the school board. The vote itself will be happening Tuesday May 21, 2019 in the Board of Education room (room 129), which is across the hall from the B-Gym. Nearest doors are off Church Street. Make note of the different location. It’s in the same building, but on the opposite side of it.
