Tonight (2019-11-18) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Tonight the Town Board also met, but as I have not yet learned the skill of being in more then one place at the same time, I was at the Village Board meeting. Personally, I think the Town should have met last week, despite the holiday. Much like I think the Village should meet on the holidays in January and February. Even as I acknowledge that my schedule is, and should be, a non-factor in meeting planning. Continue reading

Tonight (2019-11-04) was a Mendon Public Library Board of Trustee meeting.
Next Monday looks to be busy. As it’s 11/11, that means Veteran’s Day. While some places use that as an excuse to close, the library will be having a book sale instead. Something to do before/after the Veteran’s event at 11AM. Continue reading
Tonight (2019-10-29) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Likely of greatest significance for the average taxpayer (ie voter), there will be a special vote on December 17th to spend about $10 million on another capitol project (2.5 for those of you keeping count). On December 10th there will be a public hearing at 7PM, if anyone has any questions on this topic. It was pointed out that if we spend the ~$10 million, the state will reimburse ~$7 million. If we spend nothing, we get nothing. Continue reading

Tonight (2019-10-15) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Before the meeting was another wandering of the construction site (ie school). The project is coming along nicely. Looks like the new office at the High School is now in use, and the new turf field looks to be (mostly?) done. Although the wall around the High School cafeteria looks rather bland, seems like a great place for some decoration. Especially because, when the project gets to that point, it will all be painted over. Maybe something for the annual Christmas decoration competition? Continue reading
