There were some different faces on the screen. As it was another online meeting, due to the panic, it wasn’t immediately obvious which were the Board members and which were the applicants. Tonight (2020-05-26) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The meeting started off with the Meet the Candidates event. As with so many other things, was a different meeting using Zoom instead of being in the room together. Although having the speeches recorded should be beneficial down the road. If nothing else, it allows more people to watch them. Continue reading

Today should have been the School vote, but we have been too busy panicking the past few months. Perhaps this will serve as a lesson for the next panic, perhaps not.
Instead we have a Public Budget Hearing next week, on May 26. As with the past few Board meetings, this will be online. Although they appear to be adjusting to allow public comments, which will be interesting to watch. Continue reading

Big topic of the evening was the election. It will be absentee/mail in only, and ends June 9th.

Tonight (2020-04-28) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
While video conferencing has it’s technical issues (I crashed out in the middle of the budget presentation), I think this group is getting pretty good at them. The streaming started enough before the actual start of the meeting that nothing was missed. And at the other end, people were leaving before it was cut off.
