Today (2019-12-17) there is an Election for the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District. District residents may vote at the Board of Education room 129. Same location as last vote, but not in the foyer as it has been in the past. The Board of Education room can be found on the west side of the High School, nearest doors are off Church Street. Election time is 9AM to 9PM. Continue reading
Tonight (2019-12-16) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
There was much good said about the recent Fire Department Christmas Parade. The weather might not have been great (which is nothing new), but the parade went well. And this Board acknowledged that and applauded the Fire Department. Continue reading

Tonight (2019-12-09) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
As the year ends, there was talk about staffing for next year. Tom (CEO, etc) has announced his retirement, as have various board/committee members. On top of Bud, as mentioned previously. While the people will be missed, and they can never really be replaced, there is still the challenge of filling the positions. Continue reading

Muffy now has approval from the Zoning Board, if reluctantly, for her subdivision on Rittenhouse. Which is effectively on Peer, due to it being a corner lot. Continue reading

The big topic of the evening was the workshop on On-Line Learning. In fact, it used such a large chunk of time that later on there was a request to table a topic so the meeting would end sooner. Although that might have also been influenced by it being Thanksgiving on Thursday. Continue reading
Tonight (2019-11-18) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Tonight the Town Board also met, but as I have not yet learned the skill of being in more then one place at the same time, I was at the Village Board meeting. Personally, I think the Town should have met last week, despite the holiday. Much like I think the Village should meet on the holidays in January and February. Even as I acknowledge that my schedule is, and should be, a non-factor in meeting planning. Continue reading
