Honeoye Falls Village Board 2020-06-15

Tonight (2020-06-15) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.

Surprisingly enough, the Board was back in the Village Hall for the meeting. It looks like the public isn’t allowed back yet, but this is an improvement. Maybe next month. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Election 2020-06-09

Today (2020-06-09) is election day. To the extent such a term has meaning with absentee ballots. Especially when the governor extends the deadline the day before.

Full disclosure: Yes, my name is on the ballot as a candidate. Continue reading

Mendon Town Board 2020-06-08

Tonight (2020-06-08) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.

Unlike the last few, this meeting was back to being in person. Location had changed, being at the Community Center (167 North Main Street) instead of Town Hall (16 West Main Street). And face diapers were prevalent, despite the layout providing plenty of distance between people. But at least we were all in the same room. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Zoning Board 2020-06-01

Tonight (2020-06-01) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.

There were some different faces on the screen. As it was another online meeting, due to the panic, it wasn’t immediately obvious which were the Board members and which were the applicants. While I knew who was on the Board, it looks like one of the members is new since the last meeting. Change, ever a constant in life. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education 2020-05-26

Tonight (2020-05-26) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

The meeting started off with the Meet the Candidates event. As with so many other things, was a different meeting using Zoom instead of being in the room together. Although having the speeches recorded should be beneficial down the road. If nothing else, it allows more people to watch them. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Election Rescheduled 2020-05-19

Today should have been the School vote, but we have been too busy panicking the past few months. Perhaps this will serve as a lesson for the next panic, perhaps not.

Instead we have a Public Budget Hearing next week, on May 26. As with the past few Board meetings, this will be online. Although they appear to be adjusting to allow public comments, which will be interesting to watch. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Village Board 2020-05-18

Tonight (2020-05-18) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.

Meeting was relatively short. Nothing wrong with that, although it was interesting that making transcription easier was a stated reason. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education 2020-05-12

Tonight (2020-05-12) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

Big topic of the evening was the election. It will be absentee/mail in only, and ends June 9th.

Full disclosure: Yes, that is my name on the list of candidates I stole from Gene (Superintendent). Continue reading

Mendon Town Board 2020-05-11

Tonight (2020-05-11) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.

Like with the previous Town Board meeting, I was assisting with managing this Zoom meeting. So I was more part of the meeting, then in the audience. As such, I feel it is inappropriate to share significant observations here. Don’t want to have an apparent conflict of interests. Continue reading
