Tonight (2021-03-15) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Everyone was on Zoom for the meeting, and the office was closed and dark. Likely because the meeting room was setup for tomorrow’s election. Continue reading

This morning (2021-03-13) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees for a workshop on next years budget.
While the discussion covered a variety of topics, by the end of the meeting the Board had mostly settled on a budget. The only real outstanding question is how much reserves to use vs how much to raise the tax rate. Which will be the focus of next weeks meeting. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-03-09) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE), and before that the Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC).
Full disclosure: I sit on the PBAC, so some of these Observations aren’t exactly from the Audience. Continue reading

Mayor, two Trustees, and the Village Justice are up for a vote this year. Each is for a four year term. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-03-08) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
There was a surprising (at least to me) number of people at the meeting tonight. This had the side effect of bumping me to the table with other support people (someone had to start the live stream). As such, these observations aren’t exactly from the audience. Continue reading

By pattern, there should have been a Village Zoning Board meeting tonight. But that was bumped to next week instead. Which opened up my schedule tonight for the Library Trustees. A bit amusing, as the last time I was at a meeting of this group was last March. Continue reading
This morning (2021-02-27) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees for a workshop on next years budget.
As this was the first of these public budget workshops, it was a rather dry overview of the potential budget. Some conversation occurred, but mostly going over numbers. As you would expect in a budget workshop Continue reading

Tonight (2021-02-16) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Assemblywoman Marjorie Byrnes joined the talking heads for the first part of the meeting. Rick (Mayor) thanked her for her help, especially with the $150k grant funds used for the Ontario street storm sewer project. Continue reading
