Tonight (2017-03-14) was supposed to be a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE), and before that the Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC). The meeting was cancelled, due to weather.
Ironically enough, this makes two school meetings in two weeks canceled by weather. And, two meetings announced on twitter after the announcement of all activities being canceled. Last time I didn’t get a screenshot, this time I did (for whatever that is worth). Continue reading
There is an upcoming Election for the Village of Honeoye Falls on March 21, 2017 (2017-03-21). Village residents may vote at the Village Office, 5 East Street (next to the bridge) between Noon and 9PM.
Four positions are up for a vote: Mayor, Justice, and two Trustees. Each position is for a four year term. Continue reading
Tonight (2017-03-13) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
While waiting for the meeting to formally start, I noticed that of the ten people in the room, only one didn’t have glasses. From one end of the table to the other, glasses worn by all. Continue reading
Tonight (2017-03-06) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Planning Board.
There was an unusually long agenda for this group. Usually it’s minutes plus two or three items. Tonight was minutes plus six. It was helpful that one of them (Hyde Park barn demolition) didn’t show up. And the first two (Peer street garage and Ontario street porch) were more formalities then anything else. Continue reading
This morning (2017-03-04) was a special meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees, with the intent of reviewing the proposed 2017-2018 Budget.
In all fairness, this was a tentative budget and will be adjusted some more before being passed. So any detail may change, and should be taken with a grain (or more) of salt. Continue reading

Tonight (2017-02-21) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
By pattern, tonights meeting should have happened yesterday (Monday). But that was just one of a number of oddities tonight. Different day, different people, longer then usual, conference calls, much was unusual. It worked out, and I’m just glad I was able to Observe this meeting. Continue reading
