The Agenda said two applications, at the end of the meeting there were only two applications, but it opened by stating there would be three. Sounds like Wolfberger withdrew there application, but that wasn’t clear. All other applications where from Mathstone (under various names). Continue reading
Tonight (2017-11-28) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The room was surprisingly crowded tonight. The cause was the presenters for the Mental Health Workshop. Other then that, the only real contentious item was the Solar Tax Exemption Opt Out, which brought no one to the meeting. Continue reading

It started oddly, with the majority of the board holding a private conference with the village attorney and the code enforcement officer. I’m sure there was a good explanation, but meetings behind closed doors can look bad. Continue reading

There was a collection of tidbits, with little connection between them. Followed by a presentation from an unhappy resident. Made for a different feel to the meeting. Continue reading

The most important item on the agenda was likely the approval of next years budget. While it will almost certainly be adjusted and tweaked as the year goes by, the town has a budget for going into next year. Continue reading
Today (2017-11-07) there is a General Election in New York State. For those who live in Honeoye Falls, the polling station is the Mendon Community Center, between 6AM and 9PM. Continue reading

The meeting was a bit slow to get started. It turns out there were some last minute changes and additional information that needed to be dealt with. One application withdrew (NOTMI/Mathstone storage units), and another changed some details (12 N Main). Continue reading

While the meeting was publicized as a Workshop, it didn’t feel much different then a regular meeting. Just a regular meeting on a different day, at a different time, where there was only one applicant. Continue reading

Held at the High School Auditorium, in anticipation of a large audience. Turns out attendance was low enough that we could have stayed at the village office. Still, better to be prepared and not need the space, then have to turn people away due to overcrowding. Continue reading
