Unlike the past two meetings, this one was on the second Monday of the month, so I was able to attend. There was also a decent sized crowd, primarily for the public hearing on a sewer agreement with Pittsford. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-12-03) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Planning Board.
The meeting itself was rather short and redundant. In essence, the board reaffirmed the conclusion from their previous meeting. Which is to say, a ‘No’ for Muffy’s subdivision. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-11-27) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Surprisingly few people at the meeting. Normally there is a decent number of staff there. Principals, department heads, etc. Tonight that crowd was not in attendance. There were a pair of students though. Apparently it’s AP Government meeting attendance time again. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-11-19) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Next month may see the end of the Village Planning and Zoning boards, as there will be a public hearing at the December 17 meeting to discuss that. Assuming it passed, both Boards would be dissolved, and a new Zoning Board would then be created which would fulfill the duties of both. Is an interesting idea, I look forward to watching how it turns out. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-11-13) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
I’ll start by following up on a previous question on attendance and how it relates to ethics. Tonight was the first meeting since the Board approved their Code of Ethics that a member was missing: Dave (the first, as opposed to the second) was not at the meeting. I’m sure he had a perfectly valid reason, as life does happen, but this means it only took three meetings before an obvious violation of the Code of Ethics happened. So can we expect his removal from the Board at the next meeting? Continue reading

Muffy finally got her answer tonight, which was good. Unfortunately, it was a no. Technically a positive declaration to the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), but that is really a ‘yes, the answer is no’. Continue reading

Tonight (2018-10-23) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Also tonight was some sort of cheerleader competition, so there was some noise. Mostly amusing, as the walls muffled the volume enough. But a couple times it got a bit loud. Still, the school is for the kids, so I can’t fault them for enjoying themselves, especially as it was cheerleaders. Loud ‘cheers’ is kind of what they do. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-10-15) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
There was also a Mendon Town Board meeting tonight. By pattern, the Town Board should have met last week, yet they did not. I went, but I guess they let the holiday discourage them. Tonight I chose to observe the Village Board, I’m sure the Town managed well enough without me. Continue reading
