Tonight (2018-10-23) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Also tonight was some sort of cheerleader competition, so there was some noise. Mostly amusing, as the walls muffled the volume enough. But a couple times it got a bit loud. Still, the school is for the kids, so I can’t fault them for enjoying themselves, especially as it was cheerleaders. Loud ‘cheers’ is kind of what they do. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-10-15) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
There was also a Mendon Town Board meeting tonight. By pattern, the Town Board should have met last week, yet they did not. I went, but I guess they let the holiday discourage them. Tonight I chose to observe the Village Board, I’m sure the Town managed well enough without me. Continue reading

All of the BoE members were in attendance tonight, which is a first for this school year (although one of them was on the screen). While it is good to have everyone there, this still leaves the question of what a Code of Ethics violation results in. Continue reading
Today (2018-10-02) was a Press Conference at Honeoye Falls-Lima on the topic of ‘Computer Trespass’.
Short Summary: Some kids, being kids, did things they shouldn’t have with the schools computer network. It sounds like the problem has been fixed and those directly impacted have been notified. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-10-01) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Planning Board.
Unlike last meeting, there were only two items on the agenda (not counting minutes). Due to the nature of these items, there weren’t going to be any decisions made tonight. Ironically enough, while it was a short agenda, it was a long discussion. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-09-25) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Rhonda (Board Clerk) has produced a nicely colored calendar of the Board’s meetings and various activities. While nothing in it is truly new, it is a nice presentation. Did point out how at least one Board member has been absent for each meeting this year. This continued tonight, although there was an attempt to video-conference him in (didn’t work for whatever reason). Continue reading
Tonight (2018-09-24) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.
This was the first meeting at the new time, 7PM instead of 7:30PM. Two board members were late, but as everyone else was on time they started as scheduled. Managed to finish before 7:30, so we almost got out of the building before late people arrived. Continue reading
Tonight (2018-09-19) was a special meeting of the Honeoye Falls Planning Board.
Occurred on a Wednesday, not the regular Monday, which I’m not a fan of. There was also inconsistent publication on the meeting time. Most of the sources, including the agenda, said 7:30PM (which is the regular meeting time), while a few sources, including the front page of the website, said 7PM. Expecting the meeting to start at 7:30, but being unsure, I showed up at 6:55. At which point there were a two people waiting for the doors to be unlocked. Continue reading
