Oath of Office = Support Constitution = Oppose Oathbreakers

For the last month or two, we have all been in the audience. Which is to say, spectators in the debacle that is this ongoing panic. So I’ve been thinking…

Bottom line first: This ‘shutdown’ is unconstitutional, and any government official that does not fight it is in violation of their Oath of Office. Continue reading

Mendon Town Board 2020-04-20

Tonight (2020-04-20) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.

There was also a meeting of the Village Board. Ironically enough, even with so many things having gone online, I still can’t manage to observe two meetings at the same time. So tonight was with the Town. Maybe the Village recorded their meeting and I can watch it later. Probably not, but there is always hope. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education 2020-04-14

Tonight (2020-04-14) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

The former facilities building is gone. Is part of the ongoing Capital Project. Which is a silver lining to this panic: The school being effectively closed means the workers have more flexibility. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Annual Meeting 2020-04-06

Tonight (2020-04-06) was the Honeoye Falls Annual Meeting.

As is becoming the norm, this meeting was held online. I was not familiar with the service used, but it did the job well enough. Not perfectly, but it worked. Continue reading

Tonight (2020-03-31) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

At the core, there were two topics tonight: Next years budget and the ongoing panic. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education 2020-03-24

Tonight (2020-03-24) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).

This was also the meeting where the Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC) makes their recommendation to the BoE. As I sit on the PBAC, I was with the group presenting (such as it was). While you are welcome to read the full recommendation or watch the video, I would summarize it as ‘continue the course while planning for the future’. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls Village Board 2020-03-16

Tonight (2020-03-16) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.

Everything at the meeting was in the shadow of corona. Which was fitting, as that’s what a corona is, a visual effect. Continue reading

Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (and PBAC) 2020-03-10

Tonight (2020-03-10) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE), and before that the Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC).

Full disclosure: I sit on the PBAC, so some of these Observations aren’t exactly from the Audience. Continue reading

Mendon Town Board 2020-03-09

Tonight (2020-03-09) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.

Early on in the meeting concerns for corona came up again. I will give the promoters of fear credit, they do get their message out. Collectively, we are afraid. Yet what evidence I’ve read says it will be another flu. A bunch of people will get sick, a small percentage of them will die. Continue reading

Mendon Library Trustees 2020-03-02

Tonight (2020-03-02) was a Mendon Public Library Board of Trustee meeting.

The meeting started off with concerns about Corona. And I’m not talking about the beer. A variant of that joke was made, so good to see a sense of humor is still in effect. At this point, locally, it’s just preparation for potential disasters. Which is good practice regardless. After all, if you’re ready for a Zombie Apocalypse, you can also handle any ‘smaller’ disaster. Continue reading
