Tonight (2020-08-25) was (presumably) a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Despite the meetings scheduled start time of 7PM, it did not appear to have started by 8PM. I’m inclined to think there were technical difficulties. Either that or they forgot to stream it, as the Board was supposed to be meeting in person. Either way, I cannot offer observations on the meeting itself. Another meeting at the Community Center, but otherwise business as usual. Including a small audience, mostly there for the Youth Softball. Continue reading
Tonight (2020-08-11) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
While I had heard rumors that the Board, and limited staff, would be in person for this meeting, they are continuing to use Zoom. While I don’t know the complete logic for this, at some point the inability to have a dozen adults in a room implies the inability to have students in a classroom. Continue reading

Another meeting at the Community Center. While the people at the meeting seemed to have their wits about them, I noted a trend of panic induced insanity (for lack of a better term) in topics discussed. Continue reading

As with the last meeting, still at the Community Center (former Legion Hall). But we had a different chair tonight, as Brian was absent. Don’t know the details, but I got the sense it was expected. Continue reading

Tonight (2020-07-09) was the graduation of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Class of 2020.
About a week ago we had a graduation parade. It felt a bit silly to me, but both those involved and those watching seemed to enjoy it. So ‘Mission Accomplished’, and perhaps it will happen again next year.
I heard there were small scale graduation ceremonies with just the graduate and their families in school. Don’t know details, as I’m in neither category this year, but heard rumors that such was appreciated by those involved.
