Rescheduled from last week, although the reason wasn’t stated. Reading between the lines, I would speculate flu concerns were the cause, but I’ll freely admit that is wild speculation. Continue reading
Tonight (2020-12-21) was supposed to be a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees. But it was adjourned until an unspecified date. In addition, there was a sign in the door indicating the office will be closed until further notice. Continue reading

Tonight (2020-12-08) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
There were some technical hiccups at the start of the meeting. Sorting them out did delay things a bit, although they were eventually resolved. Until that happened, the group did muddle through as best they could. That enough people were in the room to conduct business mitigated things somewhat, although I do wonder what the viewing experience was like. Continue reading

Unlike the past few meetings, this one was back to being a virtual, which is to say imaginary, meeting. While I can understand the concerns, and respect the desire to do what is best, I think this is a bad practice to return to. Continue reading
Tonight (2020-11-10) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
We had a student join the meeting through Zoom, to comment on the hazards of blue light. While she didn’t directly say it, I think she was criticizing the district’s heavy reliance on computers. In contrast to in person lectures, written materials, etc. Regardless of the topic, I was glad to hear from the student at the meeting. Continue reading
