As with most years, this years school vote is in three parts. There will be a budget for next year, purchase of school buses, and three positions on the school board. The vote itself will be happening Tuesday May 18, 2021 in the Board of Education room (room 129), which is across the hall from the B-Gym. Nearest doors are off Church Street. Make note of the location. It’s not in the foyer as it traditionally has been.

Tonight (2021-05-10) was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.

Tonight (2021-05-04) was the Public Budget Hearing and Meet the Candidates event for the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District.
The budget presentation went much as it usually does at these events. Bruce (Business and Operations) went over the budget numbers, which is also covered in the newsletter. There will be a ~$55 million budget and ~$600k bus proposal to vote up (or down). Continue reading

The meeting itself was rather straightforward. The group gathered, requests were made, requests were approved. And for whatever it’s worth, I agree with the decisions the Board made. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-04-27) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Cougar Pride Awards were celebrated. There were pictures of various people receiving them around the campus, as well as others being named. Good job to everyone doing what they can to make HFL the amazing place it is. Continue reading

I’ve been informed by a reliable source that the public is not allowed to attend meetings. While I hope this changes soon, it did open the way to changing my plans for the evening. Which means I have no useful observations for the meeting itself. Continue reading

An Agenda was produced, which had a link to a Zoom meeting. But the meeting ID was invalid, and the office was locked and dark. I suspect the meeting was canceled. Continue reading
