Tonight (2021-04-13) was apparently a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
I’ve been informed by a reliable source that the public is not allowed to attend meetings. While I hope this changes soon, it did open the way to changing my plans for the evening. Which means I have no useful observations for the meeting itself. Continue reading

Tonight (2021-04-06) might have been a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.
An Agenda was produced, which had a link to a Zoom meeting. But the meeting ID was invalid, and the office was locked and dark. I suspect the meeting was canceled. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-04-05) was the Honeoye Falls Annual Meeting, and before that the Public Hearing for next years Budget.
At least in an official sense. The public was denied admittance to the location, and the audio was unintelligible for the first portion of the meeting. It did eventually get better, but a significant portion of budget discussion was missed. Continue reading
Tonight (2021-03-23) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
There was an executive session before the meeting. Only of note because of the contrast. In the past, whoever wasn’t in the session would be in the Board room. This provided an opportunity to chat with people that I otherwise would rarely interact with. Unfortunately, with Zoom that doesn’t happen. Continue reading

Today (2021-03-16) there is an Election for the Village of Honeoye Falls. Village residents may vote at the Village Office, 5 East Street (next to the bridge) between Noon and 9PM.
Mayor, two Trustees, and the Village Justice are up for a vote this year. Each is for a four year term. Continue reading

Everyone was on Zoom for the meeting, and the office was closed and dark. Likely because the meeting room was setup for tomorrow’s election. Continue reading
This morning (2021-03-13) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees for a workshop on next years budget.
While the discussion covered a variety of topics, by the end of the meeting the Board had mostly settled on a budget. The only real outstanding question is how much reserves to use vs how much to raise the tax rate. Which will be the focus of next weeks meeting. Continue reading
