The evening of 2022-04-04 was the Honeoye Falls Annual Meeting, and before that the Public Hearing for next years Budget.
The budget was approved, and with it a 1.47% increase in the local levy. As this is below the property tax cap, the law allowing the Village to override that limit had to be repealed. All part of the standard budget dance at this point. Continue reading

The evening of 2022-03-28 was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
The primary reason for the meeting was to discuss details around the bids for the Military Memorial/Spray Park. No bids were awarded at this meeting, but it sounds like they expect to do so at the April 11th meeting. Continue reading
The evening of 2022-03-21 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Since their last meeting, the Village has updated their website. Sounds like this has been well received, by both the public and staff. While it’s different, and different always takes some getting used to, I think it looks pretty good. Continue reading

Gene (Superintendent) was absent, something health related. Details weren’t mentioned, which is fair as they really aren’t any of my (or the public’s) business. I just hope it all works out well for him. Continue reading

The most interesting topic of the evening was probably the discussion around the ambulance. And the contract the Town has with the Village for that service. As everyone tends to mention whenever this comes up, they are happy with the service provided. There are just details around it that are less then ideal. Continue reading
