Despite not being there, Jim Merzke might have been the highlight of the meeting. The former Town Clerk will be acting Deputy Supervisor and Deputy Clerk at various times in the next month or so. The evening of 2022-04-04 was the Honeoye Falls Annual Meeting, and before that the Public Hearing for next years Budget.
The budget was approved, and with it a 1.47% increase in the local levy. As this is below the property tax cap, the law allowing the Village to override that limit had to be repealed. All part of the standard budget dance at this point. Continue reading
