The evening of 2022-06-07 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Perhaps the most important item mentioned at tonight’s meeting was graduation being on June 26 at 10AM. Likely not news to those with students, but first I can recall having it confirmed. I’d prefer it being later in the day, as my calendar says that is a Sunday. Which means choosing between church or not. Continue reading
The evening of 2022-06-06 was a Mendon Public Library Board of Trustee meeting.
Interesting assortment of topics, with nothing in particular stealing the show. I get to so few of this groups meetings, the topics feel new when I do. None of the incremental process when you see it every month as they work through things. Continue reading

This meeting was supposedly called to discuss details around the bids for the Military Memorial/Spray Park. While that did happen, the bulk of the meeting was a discussion on grants. Continue reading

There was followup on previous discussion around Roctricity and Community Choice Aggregation (CCA). The Village continues to explore this option, sounds like cost savings for residents is the primary driver. Continue reading

The evening of 2022-05-09 was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
Despite not being there, Jim Merzke might have been the highlight of the meeting. The former Town Clerk will be acting Deputy Supervisor and Deputy Clerk at various times in the next month or so. Summer is here, people are going on vacation. And they want to make sure nothing goes wrong while they are away. Continue reading
The evening of 2022-05-03 was the Public Budget Hearing and Meet the Candidates event for the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District, all wrapped in a full fledged Board of Education meeting.
Wrapping things in a regular meeting was different, first time I can recall this being done. Previous years this event has been a ‘non-meeting’. Reason for the change was not stated, but there was business to discuss. Continue reading
