The evening of 2024-04-01 was the Honeoye Falls Annual Meeting, and before that the Public Hearing for next years Budget.
In the end, the budget was approved. Main increase drivers seemed to be impact of administrator retiring and hiring fire fighters during the day. And as was pointed out previously, the tax levy increase is 9.6%. Continue reading
The evening of 2024-03-26 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The public portion of the meeting got off to a late start, as the Board was in Executive Session. They are usually pretty good about predicting how long those will take, but predictions aren’t perfect. As expected, next years budget was discussed, and with that the projected levy increase of ~9.6%. The primary driver of the increase is fire department staffing. The Village should be publicizing a letter explaining this in more detail before too long. Continue reading
