The evening of 2026-06-01 was a meeting of the Mendon Public Library Board of Trustees.
The meeting was held earlier then usual, so that they would finish in time to go to the Village Zoning Board meeting.
In alignment with the reason for the schedule change, a good portion of the meeting discussed the potential future construction plans for the 20 North Main property. While various concerns were discussed, I would summarize the discussion as this: The Library Trustees wants more communication about this project.
Of course, communication can be difficult. Hopefully some was managed later in the evening. And more can be had in the future.
Besides that discussion, the Library is busy getting ready. For the Summer Reading Program. For next years Budget. And for a Book Walk (location still to be determined).
