The evening of 2024-09-23 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Tonight was Brian Anderson’s last ‘official’ meeting. He will be missed. But such is the way of things. As a side effect, looks like there will be some shuffling of responsibility among the remaining staff. Again, such is the way of things.
The Girl Scouts are having their annual Pumpkin Festival on October 12. I didn’t hear a time, but judging from the past, probably in the 6-8PM ballpark. If you (or your kids) are interested, details should be made available soon enough.
December 14 will be the annual Fireman’s Parade. May already be on your calendars, as it’s reasonably predictable (it was already on mine). There was talk about other events going on then, it is a busy time of year.
A newsletter about the Fire Department will be coming out soon. It will include a link to a larger presentation of some sort. This has been talked about for a while now, good to see it nearing completion. I didn’t hear a date, apart from ‘soon‘.
A Public Hearing for Zoning Code in regards to pools was set for the next meeting. This also covers hot tubs, or anything else with 2 feet (or more) of water in it. My sense was the changes weren’t going to be significant, but we’ll find out when they are made available for review.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the September 23, 2024 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
