The evening of 2024-01-16 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
It was a straightforward enough meeting, with the most noteworthy items feeling more like future expectations then actions being taken now. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Not all meetings can be exciting, there is something to be said for consistently doing the job.
It sounds like the Totiakton apartments are being sold. Transfer has not happened yet, but deal has been agreed to.
Ambulance staff will be taking a civil service exam for the position. While this has no impact on the current people, there are concerns this may complicate future staffing.
As it looks like the fire department will not be expanding onto the former Critics restaurant property, the Village is starting to explore selling it. I got the sense nothing concrete yet, even as some have expressed interest in purchasing.
An ~$2 million grant for work on the Wastewater Treatment Plant was accepted. Even as it was said that this money might not be used, as they are hopeful for an even bigger grant.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the January 16, 2024 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
