The morning of 2023-07-18 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The most interesting item was the swearing in of Lynley Guckian. Besides that, it was more a formality then anything else. Meeting was ~5 minutes long.
And while it wasn’t discussed, buried in the documentation was the announcemnet of Rhonda’s retirement. HFL will be needing a new clerk come October. Not to mention all the other roles she fills.
After the meeting the Board was having their Retreat. As I understand the law, that is required to be open to the public. But as no actions are being taken, and I see benefit to the Board and school staff being able to get to know each other without observers, I left as that started.
