Tonight (2019-08-05) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.
This was how you want your zoning meetings to be: short and straightforward. Two applications, both approved, in under half an hour.
First application was for a fence that was taller then allowed, and further to the front of the lot then allowed. Due to the layout of the lot, and the neighboring structure, it sounds like the fence should be pretty well obscured from anyone that might care.
Second application was more interesting as a story, but when it came down to details it was straightforward. The Episcopal Church is looking to sell a piece of property to one of their neighbors, who will then add it to their lot. No reason for why the property was changing hands, but it’s one of those things that I can’t see the Village saying ‘no’ to.
After those were done, there was talk about the next meeting. It sounds like it would be on September 9th, due to Labor Day, but as there is only a week for pending applications to arrive, odds are it won’t happen. The challenges of scheduling.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the August 5, 2019 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.
