The evening of 2025-11-17 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Rick (Mayor) was not at the meeting. Life happens, I understand. But in his absence, Dan (Deputy Mayor) ran the meeting. Not the first time I’ve seen Dan do this. And while I don’t think he’s as polished as Rick, he got the job done. And as ever, getting the job done is the important part.
A Lynn Albright had scheduled a comment to chime in on construction noises, much like last months commenter. Although the focus here seemed more about enforcing rules as written, then the noise itself. Which is where my concern on the topic is as well. If we are going to have rules, we should enforce them. If we don’t like them, remove or change them. Which looks to be exactly what the Board is planning.
The Board discussed a draft change to the noise ordinance. While there are still details to work out, they did set a Public Hearing for their December meeting. Although they also acknowledged they might bump it to January, depending on how the details play out. Still, better to schedule it then procrastinate.
A number of December events were shared. To such an extent, it sounds like the Village will be putting together some sort of flier to share them all with the public. If your December calendar isn’t already packed, might be worth taking a look at the Village’s website and/or facebook page in a few days, to see what else could fill your time.
And the last handful of agenda items all pertained to Wolfsberger park. Progress continues, as demonstrated with releasing letters of credit, adding street lights to the national grid account, and expanding the snow plow route.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the November 17, 2025 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Link to agenda on Village website. Ironically enough, there was discussion during the meeting as to when exactly the agenda was posted online. And while I can’t speak to the past or the future, it is there as I write this.
