Having set the levy with the vote back in may, now the tax rates themselves are assigned. If the details of the numbers or process interest you, read or watch Colin’s (Business) report.
The Board had a workshop to go over goals for the year. Goals for the District as a whole, the Board itself, and the Board’s sub-committees.
Capital Project Update went over what has been done so far, what is currently being worked on, and what still has to be done. Work being done all over the place, so odds are you’ll see something new if you are in any of the buildings. Sounds like there have been some delays, but overall still on schedule. Also had some nice pictures of the progress and plans.
Verizon continues to be considered for putting in a cell phone tower on campus. Opinions on this seemed mixed, so no action yet. But this is not the first meeting the possibility has been discussed. Perhaps because it’s so far outside the regular school functions, they seem to be having difficulty decided if the idea should be pursued or discarded. Either way, sounds like it will be back on the Agenda next time.
