The evening of 2024-09-10 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
If it wasn’t for the reports of how the opening of school had gone, this would have been a quiet meeting. But we did have those reports, complete with cheers in the background. Mostly from the volleyball game, but cheering is cheering. And nothing wrong with a quiet meeting. Get the job done and get on to other things.
As for those start of school reports, I can’t do better then paraphrase Gene (Superintendent). Kids showed up, they went home, and most importantly, they came back again.
Besides that, there was a report on Community Education. Sounds like that program is going well, even if the Wellness Center loses money. But that was a deliberate decision by the Board, so to be expected.
