The evening of 2024-06-17 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
As it’s summer, the Good Vibes concerts are starting up again. Swing by Harry Allen Park Tuesday evening if you want to listen. Or just get nearby if your ears are good, the music does travel.
Festival on the Falls is coming August 17. By the sounds of it, that section of North Main will be closed for most of the event. Open early for setup, then closed down for visitors. So plan accordingly. Although Monroe, Locust, Maplewood is a short enough detour.
Progress continues on the sidewalk projects. No end date was said, just that it is continuing along.
The Village is starting the process of phasing out their Court. When this is done, the duties will be picked up by the Town Court. Sounds like it will be about a year until they expect the change to finalize.
As all the staff are taking it as a vacation day, the office will be closed July 5th. Can’t say I blame them, if I was in their shoes I’d likely want the long weekend.
And the Village agreed to a Broker Agreement to sell off the former Critics. As I understand it, not for sale yet, but that will be the outcome of this process. Accordingly, no buyer yet, unless you want to make an offer. While I don’t now the details, the plan for turning the restaurant into part of the Fire Department didn’t work out. A shame, but such is life. We do the best we can with what we have to work with. Sometimes it works out better then others.
