The evening of 2024-04-09 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
The topic that stood out the most was a review of the budget. While approval is scheduled for the next meeting, I expect this will be adopted then. The delay is to maximize the State’s ability to get their own budget in order. But the School is on a timetable and can only delay so long.
The previous shortfall is being overcome by rejecting many of the ‘asks’ and being a little less conservative in some projections. I got the sense it was a little bit of a gamble. But at the same time, it sounded like there was a backup plan if those projections aren’t as rosy as desired.
Besides the budget…
Fall Weekend is scheduled for October 4th and 5th.
The point was made HFL doesn’t use timeout rooms. But a policy is apparently required by the State.
