The evening of 2022-09-26 was a meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
Ironically enough, the meeting itself didn’t have much of direct note, while it did schedule/announce a number of upcoming actions. Just going through the process…
This Thursday, September 29, from 6:30 to 7:30PM there will be an open house at the Mendon Youth Center (former library building). Then starting next week, October 3, the MYC will be open Monday thru Thursday, 2-6PM for kids to hang out at. As there was a stated desire to share this, have a picture:
2023 Tentative budget was tweaked slightly, then approved as a Preliminary Budget. Public Hearing was set for October 17, during the regular meeting that evening. After which, presumably, it will become the 2023 Final Budget.
A workshop was scheduled to discuss short term rentals, on Monday October 24 at 7PM. The Town doesn’t have many workshops, so it will be interesting to see how they run this one. I would expect a degree of discussion among the Board, but no formal actions being taken. Apart from the technicalities (open meeting, close meeting, etc), but those aren’t ‘real’ actions. Regardless, it is a Public Meeting, and as such Open Meeting Law applies. So if the topic interests you, by all means show up.
