The evening of 2022-08-22 was a special meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
Apart from the technicalities of holding any meeting, the only topic discussed was the scheduling of a Public Hearing for next week, to consider a Moratorium on Short Term Rentals.
In many ways this felt more like a procedural step then anything else. Needed to meet certain timeframes in order to take action and such. Fair enough, procedure helps us make sure things are done right. Just need to balance such that process doesn’t overshadow what is right/justice/call it what you will (and I think they did fine tonight).
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the August 22, 2022 meeting of the Mendon Town Board.
