Honeoye Falls Village Board 2022-03-21

The evening of 2022-03-21 was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.

Since their last meeting, the Village has updated their website. Sounds like this has been well received, by both the public and staff. While it’s different, and different always takes some getting used to, I think it looks pretty good. Mind you, it also breaks the many links I’ve made to it over the years. Such is the nature of the web and the risk of directly linking to anything.

Howard Hanna is planning for a repeat of last years summer events. Both the community garage sale and the Festival at the Falls (which is really at Harry Allen Park). In any case, plan for garage sales the weekend of June 18-19, and a festival the weekend of August 20-21.

An Operations Supervisor has been hired for the Ambulance. Not sure what exactly the job entails, so I don’t know if it will be obvious to those served that there has been a change. Or if it’s more behind the scenes, keeping everything running smoothly. Either way, those who had interviewed her were very impressed.

There was a quick overview of next years budget. Sounds like a 1.47% levy increase, and the actual budget is available in the office if you want more details. Likely be some sort of publication in the near future as well. Regardless, Public Hearing will be on April 4th starting at ~6PM. Budget first, then the Annual Meeting.

And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the March 21, 2022 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
