Honeoye Falls Zoning Board 2021-05-03

Tonight (2021-05-03) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.

The meeting itself was rather straightforward. The group gathered, requests were made, requests were approved. And for whatever it’s worth, I agree with the decisions the Board made.

Not really anything to say on the requests themselves. Unless you’re their neighbors, odds are you won’t notice (or care). A shed, a garage, moving a line, and a fence.

It was interesting watching them balance when to rigidly stick to the letter of the law and when to be more flexible. To remember that, while justice is blind, these are all people. Just like you and me. Not that procedure was ignored or anything like that. Legal counsel did his job and made sure that was followed.

After the formal requests, there was some discussion about potential future applicants. Sounds like Wolfsberger will be back next month, for the next step on that projects. The bowling alley might be as well, or not, as details play out. And repairs continue on the Four Seasons restaurant.

All in all, good to see people (and businesses) continuing to go about their activities. It’s that time of year, life springs anew. Even amidst a light shower. Why should people be any different?

And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the May 3, 2021 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Zoning Board.
