Tonight (2020-02-18) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Despite the pattern being ‘third Monday’, this meeting was on a Tuesday. Completely expected, and properly announced, so I can’t fault anyone there. Even if it is a pet peeve of mine. Other then that was a pretty normal Village meeting. But even as parts are routine, still manages to be some items of interest.
The ‘Good Vibes Flowing’ summer concert series is all booked up. First event is scheduled for June 16. I’m sure I’ll hear a few of the events, and there has been a decent crowd in the past.
Rotary is managing a scavenger hunt on June 20 in Harry Allen Park. There was some talk about logistics with other activities in the park that day. So time to start planning your summer fun.
Young Life’s 5k in the Village was approved for August 5th. Plenty of time to get ready to run. And while this isn’t necessarily an ugly sweater race, there is no reason you couldn’t wear one if you felt so inclined.
When people don’t pay their ambulance bills it can sometimes end up going through a collections process. One step of that is asking the Village for permission. Only relevant because tonight Brian (Administrator) was given the authority to say ‘yes’, but was not granted the authority to say ‘no’. While this makes sense and should improve efficiency, I found it amusing. He can say ‘yes’ of his own initiative, but needs someone else to say ‘no’.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the February 18, 2020 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
