Tonight (2017-08-21) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
Due to various other events, there was an expectation of a crowd tonight. Besides myself, there was one other person in the audience. Two does not a crowd make.
Besides the lack of a crowd, there wasn’t a whole lot going on. A number of planned (and budgeted) activities (and attached expenses) were approved. A number of committees, processes, and programs are continuing. All good stuff, but not worth bringing to anyone’s attention. Having said that…
The Village Administrator was absent because he was celebrating his Anniversary with his wife. Valid reason to be out, I must remember to congratulate him when next our paths cross.
There looks to be an ‘ugly sweater’ 5k planned for December. Exact time/date to be determined. I do like the idea of running a race in an ugly sweater. Although, I like the idea of running it in a t-shirt while it is snowing even more.
The list of allowed uses of properties had ‘pet grooming’ added to it. This makes a long existing business legal. Unfortunately, the list of ‘permitted uses’ is not easy to find. Technically it is on the website, but good luck finding it. To make it easier, link here. Note for office staff: when you want to make those tables ‘visible’ remove the comment in ‘inc_accordion_sidebar.html‘, starting on line 1208 and ending on 1216.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the August 21th, 2017 meeting of the Honeoye Falls Board of Trustees.
