This morning (2017-08-22) was a meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education (BoE).
Normally this board meets in the evening, and the meeting lasts a few hours. Today they met in the morning and it lasted about 10 minutes. Other then that, wasn’t much of note.
A collection of ‘last minute before school starts’ actions were approved. Hiring new staff, approving contract renewals, approving policy revisions, that sort of thing.
The shortness of the meeting did lend it a bit of an informal air. In a good way, from my point of view, as it encouraged conversations before/after the meeting.
For example, I was asked about the crowd (or lack there of) at last nights Village Trustee meeting. The question of what people will take actual actions on, in contrast to what they will merely make noise about.
And those are my Observations From Audience Land for the August 22th, 2017 meeting of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Board of Education.
As has become the norm for this group, Agenda’s and similar information can be found at HFL’s BoardDocs page.
